Archive Policy

This journal employs both the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) systems to establish a distributed archiving network among participating libraries. These systems facilitate the creation and maintenance of permanent archives of the journal for preservation and restoration purposes. By participating in these systems, the journal ensures that its content is stored in multiple locations, enhancing its longevity and accessibility.

All content within the CLOCKSS Archive and the Global LOCKSS Network is preserved with explicit permission from the publisher. This permission is secured either through written contracts or online permission statements, ensuring that all archival activities are legally and ethically authorized.

We collaborate closely with LOCKSS network implementers to develop appropriate governance and legal terms tailored to the specific content, jurisdictions, rights, and access provisions associated with the journal. This collaboration helps to ensure that the archiving and preservation practices comply with relevant legal and ethical standards.
